Class projects, Little Twinkle

August class projects

This month’s class projects were all star related! We used the Little Twinkle stamp set (which I LOVE!), along with Stargazing and Leave a Little Sparkle. I know I’m biased but I totally love all of them!

The unicorn is from Leave a Little Sparkle, and it’s white heat embossed onto shimmery white card. Then a watercolour wash of Pool Party over the top. We even added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter for the all-important sparkle!

Tip- use your silicone mat and add a little Tombow glue. Then take a sponge and dab it in, then dab it onto your card where you’d like your glitter to be. Sprinkle on the Dazzling Diamonds glitter and it will stick where you’ve added your glue!

The lucky stars card is from the Stargazing stamp set. Make a window using the stitched dies. We used the biggest square. Turn to the inside and pop tear and tape all around the edge. Now stamp the sentiment using Stazon, onto a piece of window sheet. Set aside to dry. Punch out stars from the matching punch from glimmer paper. Now adhere window sheet to inside your card onto the tear and tape. You have created your window!

Then I wanted to add our stars to make a kind of shaker card but not as thick if that makes sense. So instead of using foam strips or dimensionals, I just used more tear and tape all around edge again, onto piece we’ve just stuck down. Then you need to ‘sandwich’ the stars you’ve punched out in between the window and a piece of whisper white. Before adhering the whisper white, add a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Once adhered, you’ve made a little type of shaker card. It won’t move too much, which I like!

The last card is heat embossed with silver which looks stunning 💙 The two hearts along with the little stars just makes it💙 The sentiment is cut by hand and added to a piece of Pool Party cardstock which is die cut using the stitched rectangle dies. I added some silver metallic thread before popping up on dimensionals.

Well I hope I’ve inspired you today and you will make some star-tastic cards!!

Celebrate the retiring products!

Hey everyone. So as the new catalogue is approaching, it’s time to get excited for all new products 🤩, but also a time to say farewell to some retiring ones😥

I have been showing some love to a few of the retiring products! I really love the celebrate die from the Amazing You die set. I have used this in a few different ways to show how you can use this one die, but in so many ways. 1559058392401.jpg

First up I die cut the word from whisper white and used my blends to colour from Balmy Blue, to Pool party, to Soft Sea Foam. I had a Pool party base with a layer of whisper white which I stamped lots of the little star, from Little Twinkle set ( not retiring- YAY!!!) using the same three colours as before. To this I used a little DSP from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP, before adding my die cut Celebrate. I finished with a bow made from the Pool party, silver and white twine from the Little Twinkle suite- but I removed the pool party colour- I am sooooo going to miss this twine😥 I love how this card looks💙

For my second card I have die cut the Celebrate word again from whisper white but I then sponged on some Champagne shimmer paint. This gives it such a shimmery shine I just adore it!💙 For the background I used the Swirly Frames set inking up once, then stamping 4 times, achieving a random faded pattern. I then used the little star from before and inked in Balmy Blue, and a few with the shimmer paint. I added some silver metallic twine and then my Celebrate word. To finish I added some adhesive stars. You cannot beat these!! 🤩 I use them all the time! 1559059262792.jpg

The last card I used different colours to my usual. I tried to make a more masculine one? What do you think? I die cut from black and added a black mat behind my whisper white. I used some of the wood texture DSP along the centre and also a thin line of whisper white and silver foil, before adhering my Celebrate word. I used the gorgeous stamp set Bubble Over to make some bottles with Grey Granite, and silver foil lids. The background bubbles are also from Bubble Over. Such a great set I will be sorry to see it go😥

Hope you like what I have created and if you haven’t got any of these products, head over to my online store  as they are retiring very soon!!!

You card

Hey everyone. Not sure what to call this card😂 but I love it!

I made it with the ‘Well Said’ stamp set from Stampin’Up! and used the Thank you die, snipping the ‘Thank’ off just using the ‘you’ part.

The background is whisper white, stamped in Pool party ink, with the Artisan Textures. Also I added a few clicks of champagne shimmer paint with a small paint brush that I had to hand. I then added a little piece of Little Twinkle DSP to go behind my die cut text.

A few wooden elements and mounting onto you’ve guessed it, Balmy Blue (!) and my card was done💙😍

The tiny words were stamped and cut out, and I used pieces of dimensionals to adhere. The ‘you’ was die cut in Pool party and again in smoky slate and offset to create a 3d shadowy image.

I love it😍 hope you do too.

Animal Outing

Animal Outing – life is sweeter card

Hey everyone! Is it just me? Whenever I use this stamp set I just HAVE to draw in the eyes on to the animals!! I just think they look so much cuter with their eyes open lol! Oh and maybe a cheeky smile too!😉

I made this card using a Pool party base, and adding a layer of whisper white. On this I stamped a few Artisan Textures in Pool party for a background. I added a little scrap piece of Balmy Blue, and another scrap piece of Little Twinkle DSP. I stamped my rhino and cut him out using the coordinating dies, ( not forgetting to add in his eye and smile with a black Stampin’Up! journalling pen!) and coloured with blends.

The sentiment is from detailed with love. A few sequins and a bow of Pool party and white bakers twine and voilà!

Hope you like it!

A little kindness, Little Twinkle

Little Elephant kindness card

Hi everyone! I had a little square of watercolour paper left over from another project, so I made a wash using Balmy Blue and Coastal Cabana. I grabbed my Little Elephant stamp set and inked up the big and small elephants in Coastal Cabana and punched them out. I knew I wanted to have the big elephant helping out the small one, so I used the umbrella stamp to pop in the big elephant’s trunk.

I layered the watercolour paper onto some coastal cabana cardstock, and then on top of some of the beautiful twinkle twinkle DSP. Still in love with this paper!!😍

The whisper white layer I ran through my big shot, embossing just a few lines from the stripe embossing folder. I love this effect of only embossing a part of the cardstock.

Finished off with some sequins and rhinestones, and a bow using the pool party and white bakers twine.

Hope you like this card and it has inspired you to have a go!

Don’t forget you can order all the materials used for this card from my online store, I’d love to be your demonstrator.

Christmas cards…

So with all the busyness and festivities of Christmas, I forgot to post a few photos of the cards I had made. I was so busy finishing off bits and pieces, that photographing the cards was something that completely went out of my mind! I managed to get a few though, so here are the few I did get photos of!

I absolutely love the Beautiful Blizzard bundle, and most of the cards I made featured these gorgeous little snowflakes.

I did use some retired products, including the sentiment Merriest Christmas Wishes (above), such a perfect font I just had to use it.

The colours were mostly Pool Party and Balmy Blue, and a few were white heat embossed on black card.

Well, I hope you liked them as much as I did, and of course I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too. I am loving the chilling out part of Christmas at the moment, and thoroughly enjoying spending family time together💙

christmas, Timeless Tidings

Beautiful Blizzard is so beautiful!!

Hey everyone, so as you can tell, I am such a fan of this set! I just can’t stop using it lol!

I love everything about this card – the colours are my favourite, the hint of sparkle, and the delicate snowflakes- it just works!

I started with a base card of Soft Sea Foam, and then I made my Whisper White layer. On this I used the background stamp from Artisan Textures, stamped in Soft Sea Foam. Then I added the snowflakes from Beautiful Blizzard in Bermuda Bay, stamping in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation*.

I added the ‘Merry Christmas’ from Timeless Tidings – with a layer of Soft Sea Foam- up on dimensionals, this was on top of the Pool Party bakers twine that I wrapped twice around my Whisper White layer.

I added the snowflakes I’d cut out using the coordinating dies (available in a bundle- save 10%!), which I sponged slightly with Bermuda Bay.

To finish, I used some sequins and of course, I spritzed it with some shimmer paint!*

The whole effect is a sparkly, snowy, stunning little card which I would be extremely pleased to receive!

Hope you are all well, and enjoying the festivities at this time of the year🎄

I do hope I’ve inspired you to have a go yourself😊

*1st generation is when you ink up your stamp and stamp it, 2nd generation is when you don’t then ink it up again, you use what is already on there, and 3rd generation you use it for a 3rd time, without re inking. You get the idea!

*my sparkly spitz is using a Stampin’ spritzer, filled with a few drops of champagne shimmer paint, and rubbing alcohol. You will love the results!😍

To order any of the materials and products I’ve used, please head to my online store, I would be honoured to be your demonstrator!
