Colour challenge! #GDP153

UPDATE!!….So, 🙈, guess what?? – I’m a winner!!!! Eeeek!!!😍😍😍 YAY so excited! Guest_Designer_Winner_Badge

Hey everyone! Today I’ve got a colour challenge (#GDP153) to use Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede. I must say it wasn’t my go to choice of colours, as you know I love blue! But, it was good to use colours I wouldn’t usually pick. I hope you like it!

I started with an emboss resist technique, which is such a fun technique! So I stamped my flowers (from Happy Birthday Gorgeous) in versamark onto shimmery white cardstock and then white heat embossed. I then created a watercolour wash over the top, using Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. I then layered up my card with Flirty Flamingo cardstock, vellum and stamped flowers, which I did fussy cut!(but it didn’t take long and was quite relaxing!). For the sentiment, I used an oval from the stitched shape framelits, and again, I embossed and watercoloured exactly as I did before, so as to match the background. I kept the Soft Suede as an accent colour, and used it for the layer, and also picked up in the little ‘leaves’ (from Animal Outing framelits)

….and yes, I know I’ve used the twine from the Little Twinkle Suite again(!), and it’s technically not any of the colours from the challenge, BUT, I just feel it goes! Don’t you?!!

I really like the subtle background on the card, I think I will definitely be doing this again!

Hope I have inspired you to have a go with colours you wouldn’t usually choose….and don’t forget to head over to the Global Design Project to check out all the other fab cards!

Love Jane x
